Restaurant Award-winning cuisine with history
Cooking has been going on at the Hirschen for over 100 years, today with two Gault Millau toques. Gourmets from the region and from further afield appreciate our honest cuisine made from regional ingredients. Whoever dines with us tastes Zell am See.
Four courses or freely à la carte
In the evening, our kitchen puts together a 4-course gourmet menu, or you can order à la carte. At lunchtime the team cooks from 11.30am to 2pm, and in the evening from 6pm to 9pm. In between, the afternoon menu bridges the gap for smaller appetites from 2pm to 6pm. Austrian classics and seasonal dishes land on the plates, prepared with attention to detail. On Sunday the kitchen treats itself to its day off.
Four parlours, a terrace and the bar
You dine wherever suits best. The Zirbenstube seats up to 50 people, plus there's the Rathausstube, the Sängerstube and the small Stüberl. In total, around 160 guests can be seated indoors. In summer, the covered, heatable terrace with around 50 seats in the middle of the pedestrian zone beckons. To round off the evening, the bar and lobby await with comfortable seating.
A day at the Hirschen In winter the fondue steams
When there's snow outside, our fondue parlour opens. For 30 euros per person, you dip in together, chat and add more to the pot. The day, on the other hand, starts at the breakfast buffet, daily from 7.30 to 10 a.m. House guests round off their stay with half board including a 4-course menu for 35 euros per person, except on Sundays.
